Details of our current workshops are listed below. All our workshops can be adapted for Key Stage 3 or 4 students unless otherwise stated. Remember – we can also design new workshops for you or tailor the emphasis of an existing one to meet your needs, simply contact our Workshop Co-ordinator.

Shakespeare

This workshop explores a play or plays or your choice. Through practical acting exercises, we can provide an introductory overview or deliver specific and advanced coverage. Previous workshops have focussed on language and verse, poetry and prose, character, directing, themes, staging, issues and more.

Shakespeare SATs – for Year 9 pupils

Designed specifically for the Key Stage 3 English test, these workshops tackle the set sections from any of the three plays on next year’s paper: The Tempest, Much Ado About Nothing and Henry V.

PSHCE / Citizenship

Enhance your PHSCE provision – these drama exercises allow students to explore an issue from a range of perspectives, and provide facts and encourage positive solutions. Complements citizenship and anti-social behaviour programmes. The workshop can focus on bullying, the environment, racism, smoking cessation, health or many other issues. Set Texts: Page to Stage

Taking a novel or play of your choosing, we explore the areas of your choice. We’ve conducted workshops looking at themes, characters and their intentions, relationships, language and more. This workshop is ideal for enhancing study in both English Literature and Drama. Texts studied include An Inspector Calls, The Merchant of Venice and A View from a Bridge or you decide.

Stage Fighting

A very physical workshop exploring one of the most demanding of performing skills and led by a professional Fight Director. Students are taught how to safely perform moves to enable them to form routines. This workshop is ideal for enhancing drama study and for school plays or youth theatre performances.

Theatre Design

These workshops can focus on set, costume or lighting and sound or provide a general overview. The sessions are led by a Professional Designer and are ideal for enhancing drama study and for school plays or youth theatre performances.

Circus

A highly physical workshop in which students learn the basics of clowning and circus. Participants can have a go at juggling, diabolo, plate-spinning and clowning tom-foolery. Ideal for after school clubs – and led by a professional clown!

Pantomime

Oh yes it is! This fun workshop explores the workings of the annual festive family treat. Referring to pantos such as Aladdin and Cinderella, the stock characters, staging and jokes are all explored by the students.

Slapstick Comedy

Reveal brings this classic form of knockabout comedy to your school. Students are taught a variety of moves, techniques and skills…

Myths

Theseus slays the deadly Minotaur! Medusa defeated with her own stony stare. Drama games and exercises explore the mythical characters and their stories and emphasise the moralistic messages they present. Schools have used these workshops to devise presentations for assemblies.

Music

These workshops are designed to meet the needs of your pupils – from those too scared to sing through to those wanting further experience. Topics explored include breathing, posture, tone, interpretation and performance. Styles include pop, gospel, classical and musical theatre. This workshop is led by a professional Musical Director and Musician.

Dance

Catered to your needs, our dance workshops can focus on a specific genre (e.g. tap, contemporary) or explore an issue or story through movement. These workshops are led by a professional Choreographer and Dancer.
